1. What Kompliant is

Kompliant is a software service that helps UK trades and facilities businesses produce health and safety documents — risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), company policies and toolbox talks — distribute them to operatives for reading and signature, and share signed copies with their customers. It is provided by Kompliant (the "Service", "we", "us").

2. Drafts, not advice

Documents produced by the Service are generated with AI assistance from the information you provide. Every document is a draft until it has been reviewed and approved by a competent person in your organisation. The Service does not provide health and safety advice, does not act as your competent person, and does not warrant that any document is complete, accurate, or sufficient for a particular job or site. You remain responsible under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and related legislation for the safety of your work and the suitability of your documentation.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or over and acting for a business based in the United Kingdom. Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Seats are per named user. Operatives who only read and sign documents through a link do not need an account and are not charged.

4. Your content

You own the information you enter and the documents you produce. You grant us the rights needed to store, process and display that content to provide the Service, including sending documents to the people you choose. You confirm you have the right to upload any personal data (for example operatives' names, signatures and, in future, certificates) and that you have told those people how it will be used.

5. Signatures and audit records

Electronic signatures captured through the Service record the signer's name, the time, the version signed, and the IP address and device used. These records are provided to help you evidence briefing and acknowledgement; whether they meet a particular contractual or legal requirement is for you to determine.

6. Fees and trials

Pricing is shown on the website. Trials are free for the stated period; paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe and may be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the current period. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to produce documents you know to be false, to misrepresent approval or signature, to infringe others' rights, or in any way that breaks the law. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for the Service to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. During the pilot period features may change, and we may contact you for feedback.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of any document without competent review, for indirect or consequential loss, or for amounts exceeding the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
